An open-source platform for securely connecting enterprise knowledge to AI agents, enabling permission-aware search with verified citations. github.com ↗
PipesHub is a very early-stage, open-source enterprise search and RAG platform that positions itself as "the open-source Glean alternative," leveraging Apache 2.0 licensing, self-hosting, and graph-backed retrieval as its primary differentiators. Its core technical story -- permission-aware search enforced at retrieval time, block-level citations, and model-agnosticism -- is credible and architecturally sound, but the product lacks verifiable production enterprise deployments, named customers, and any third-party compliance certifications. Third-party comparisons characterize it as "earlier-stage than Onyx, with a smaller connector library, a smaller community, and fewer production enterprise deployments." Enterprises should treat this as a promising watch-list project for data-sovereignty-sensitive use cases rather than a proven buy at scale today.
