Rebuilds legal research with comprehensive data, a full ontology of law, and an AI-native citator. legora.com ↗
Legora (formerly Leya, rebranded February 2025) is a well-funded Swedish legal AI workspace that competes most directly with Harvey for large law firm and in-house mandates across Europe and increasingly the US. Its strongest differentiated bets are a structured tabular review surface, an AI-native citator built on a full ontology of law (accelerated by its April 2026 acquisition of Qura), and a broad compliance certification stack well-suited to multinational buyers. The product is squarely enterprise-first: pricing is quote-only, there is no self-serve trial, and the seat minimum creates a hard floor around $30,000 per year. Its June 2026 pivot to consumption-based pricing for Agent Pro is a meaningful structural change that buyers should model carefully -- consumption costs can be unpredictable at scale, and rivals like Harvey and Thomson Reuters are deliberately holding flat subscription pricing to offer cost predictability. US legal data access remains a material challenge, as citable case law there is gated by incumbent publishers, and Legora must acquire it market-by-market through manual and partnership channels.
