Accenture surveyed 2,000 executives across 12 countries and 15 industries and found that three-quarters report gen-AI and automation investments meeting or exceeding expectations, with over six-in-ten planning to increase spending by 2026. The subset of companies with fully modernized, AI-led processes (16% in 2024, up from 9% in 2023) show 2.5x higher revenue growth, 2.4x greater productivity, and 3.3x greater success at scaling gen-AI use cases than peers. However, 64% of respondents still struggle operationally: 61% lack data-ready assets, 70% struggle to scale projects on proprietary data, and 82% of early-stage companies have not executed workforce reinvention. This signal tracks satisfaction and ROI claims among early adopters and the organizational friction slowing deployment scale.
